For the traumatically brain-injured, Windsor Place is a place to learn, a place to thrive, a place to call home! Windsor Place of Salem, Oregon functions as a small non-profit residential facility for adults suffering from traumatic brain injury. We provide brain-injured adults with a relaxed, comfortable, safe environment, plus offering a specialized program of skill development to enable our residents to become more independent within their current capabilities. Our traumatic brain-injured residents have already transitioned from an acute care facility, to our less medically needy environment. The average age of our TBI residents is 47 years old (with a high of 59 years old, and a low of 23). Average stay of residents is just over nine years (with a high of 29 years, and a low of 1). A number of our residents have been with us for more than 25 years.

Emphasis & Goals
The emphasis for our TBI residents is focused on brain-injured adults re-learning basic daily activity skills with the goal of maximizing their independence capabilities to the fullest degree. Consulting occupational and physical therapists, as well as nursing and behavioral specialists assist our trained staff to be mindfully in tune with each of our resident's needs.
We are a smoke-free residence.
Licensing & Standards
Families and guardians have confidence knowing their TBI resident is well-cared for. Windsor Place is classified as a "Special Adult Foster Home" fully licensed through Northwest Senior and Disabilities Services. The Oregon Department of Human Services has granted Windsor Place a Special Needs Contract for Traumatic Brain Injured Adults. We are required to have regular health and safety inspections to pass stringent regulations and standards and enjoys an excellent reputation and standing on many levels.
